Default 108K, Tune Up Time. What to do?

Good morning Del Val!

My 2001 S2k recently turned 108K and I'd like to give her a good tune up. Where should I start? I recently purchased the car (Sept. 09) with 106K on the clock. Only thing I've done is buy Jay's perfect rims with stock tires, sold Heather my winter tires that came with ym S and changed the oil/oil filter.

I'm planning on changing the rear diff fluid as well as the trans fluid as well. After that, putting in new plugs as I have no idea how old these plugs are and they are a bit discolored. Which plugs? Not sure if i want the 7772 or the 7746.

Any other thoughts? Though about taking it in for a leak down/compression test. It's using a bit more than a quart every 1500 miles. Runs quite well, except for an odd whinning noise between 3000-4500 RPM's under load. No idea what that noise could be.

REALLY cannot wait for the temps to get up as I'm tired of driving my Protege5. After I sell my stock rims I'll have a little more to put into the engine. $300 tops.

Thoughts?

Is that a DIY or do I need a shop to clean them? I've read that techron's fuel system cleaner is quite good.

Adjust throttle cable if it is loose, helps with performance, cabin filte, air cleaner with a fipk kit(lol) but should change it as well. Clutch fluid perhaps if it dirty.

if you put fuel system cleaner in it regularly like every oil change then don't bother having them pulled and cleaned. but if you've let it go for a long time then it sure wouldnt hurt to go to a good shop and have them cleaned. C-foam or whatever its called seems to be popular. Honda's love having their injectors cleaned

I've been running seafoam through most of my other cars for years and it works wonders. I'll go that route first and see how she runs after that.

plugs, brakes, all fluids, air and cabin filters, check to make sure cv joints are still good on grease and the boots arent torn, valve adjustment. maybe pull the shifter and clean it and regrease it. should help cut down on the shifter "ringing".
