I predict people will soon be able to get some good deals soon...especially when the first snow hits
The $3k mark-ups at Scott Honda may just melt away with the snow...no dealer wants inventory sitting there for 4 months. I bought mine in mid-December almost 2 years ago at MSRP...when s2k's were new and hot property

here's what *I* predict... NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO PAY MORE THAN MSRP, and as long as people continue to do it, whether out of laziness, ignorance, or just plain greed, this will continue to be an issue. there is no reason for it anymore - a year or two ago, maybe, but now, people don't shop around, they say, "well, ok - if that's what i have to pay...." it's ridiculous. i paid MSRP 2 months ago, with no hassles, no argument. both dealer and buyer recognized that as the fair price, not to mention the one recommended by the manufacturer. winter deals, blah - i don't consider MSRP a 'deal,' and neither should any prospective buyer. less than that, ok. but more just makes it harder for people down the road... i know my dealer sold the one before mine at $37,000. i ran into the owner last week (DE ain't that big), and he went white when he heard the answer to the question he shouldn't have asked. in conclusion (
), value is perceived; some dealers perceive it to be higher than they should. it's up to us, the buyers, to bring them back to earth. now, someone give me a hand down from this damned soapbox.

I can't believe people are actually paying $3,000 over MSRP for 2002 S2000's thats $35,000 for the car which is rediculous, i got my 2001 for $32,000 even brand new and paid $3,000 for the hardtop = $35,000, i hope none of you local's looking to buy a 2002 S2000 have to pay this markup.
