Default Any DelVal scooter shops?

hi guys,

a shot in the dark here, but anyone here know of any reputable motorcycle/scooter performance shops in the DelVal area?

i'm close to picking up a scooter for my commute to work, but i need to get more speed out of it there's lots of mods available to most scooters, i just need to find a shop that will do them.

thanks in advance

didn't get one yet...test rode a honda ruckus today, it was a blast. problem is, its only 49cc (any higher you need a motorcycle license), and it tops out at a generous 43 mph. that's just a bit too slow for the road i take to work.

the ruckus is on the top of my list, but also check out the yamaha zuma (a bit quicker), and the genuine rough house 50 (fastest 50cc bike, top speed a whopping 48 mph stock).

people love their ruckuses. check out totalruckus.com, lots of mods available.

just buy a Kawasaki 250 and be done with it, go take the FREE safety course(free to PA residents) and get your license.

yes, that's probably the most logical thing to do. even if i get the scooter, my wife and i do plan on taking the course and getting our licenses.

however, for the immediate future, a scooter is pretty darn fun. my commute to work is only 6 miles. and part of me just wants to park a ruckus next to all the 911's and M3's at work.

I cant afford anything right now.

I fit on a gsx-r 600 pretty good, and if I lowered it I would be comfortable. I think im going to look at the Ninjas and 250's this week if I have time.

Cyclemax in PA is pretty good.

The '08 Ninja 250's seem to be selling out pretty well right now and are above msrp. Look for the older (uglier) models still for $2500 and under.
