I hadn't said anything, but I was thinking about these a couple days ago. Been itching to cut my stock bumper to have a vent like the j's front bumper. However at $200 I think I will give a try at fiberglassing my own as I already have a good idea how to construct one.

you have to cut the metal bumper beam or remove it to make this work also

That is correct Frank BUT not if I put the cut-out where my scratch is.

Thanks revhi, I wonder if AJ has these in stock as I'm waiting on a shipment from them.

On our project S2000, the Alex Intake Air Duct is placed in the bumper, directly in front of the inlet for the Mugen Intake.
I call .

Hmm.. What bumper beam is in the way of the intake area? can't I just put the vent high enough to clear over the radiator, or is that were the beam is (too lazy to walk out to the garage right now)

That is EXACTLY what I need to do to cover my scratch. The front bumper beam is RIGHT where their duct is cut in.

If you are planning on putting it higher up then, wouldn't this not work? I would think that the best place would be to put it on the slanted part of the front bumper, directly in front of the stock intake horn. This vent thinger, wouldn't site flush since it's made to go on the perpendicular part.

Just went out a took a closer look at it. If you put the inlet on the slanted part of the front bumper, then all you would have to do is trim the small piece of thin metal that sticks down off of where the hood seals to the bumper, and then create a snorkel to get it up. Also having looked more closely, I wonder why we don't see more jdm tuners putting an intake scoop on the front passenger side of the hood.

i highly doubt that slight angle will cause any noticeable benefits. i still can't believe you scratched it freq..that really sucks bro... but that would work out really well..just make your own snorkel to attach it to the intake box. i think i might do something like this..but i'd wait for the carbon fiber one..i dunno i just really like carbon fiber and black cars.. i want to do nice carbon fiber touches to my car. like a lip, rear spoiler...i really want the backyard special like frank had..but in cf help me find it guys..for the front lip i was thinking either just a cf lip under the stock bumper..or a cf amuse replica...mmm yummy...

oh yea...for some fun laughs...i was on 78 today cruisin right about 6k rpm's behind a white v8 firebird...he decided to floor it so i stomped on it..he walked me for about a second and then my car just started walkin him....it was funny..he kept trying to lose me but my car was just right on his ass until traffic cleared and i passed him roflmao... it was like a 98 or something firebird...whatever it just made me smile to know i have only 2 liters and 4 cylinders hahahahahahahahaha pwnage also people who own those cars gotta redline them a little more...this guy stomped on it and it blew smoke for a second or so...hahaha it was definitely fast but not as fast as tp+gears muahaha oh and my top was down too so my aero was shitty at those speeds...
