Default Body Shop recommendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for a body shop in the University City area. Looking for an outfit that is really good with paintwork. Thanks

not sure of any shops in that area... however I have a friend who does sidework alot. He lives up in Philly, not exactly sure where though. He used to work at Cavallo Auto Body with me, now he works at Classic Coachwork in West Chester. (will soon be moving to Classic Coachwork at McLaren down the street).

He's actually doing paintwork for me as we speak, and I know he's done work for a few people on the forum. His work is amazing, and he makes sure it's done right. Let me know if you're interested and I'll shoot you a pm with his info.

I am interested. Many thanks, my car is a 2002 Spa Yellow Pearl, and am thinking about a full repaint instead of a patch and blending job.

Hearther, actually, I was just about to ask this question too. The Audi just got rear ended and needs some insurance-covered work done on it. Think Cavallos is still the place to go for, fixing & paint work, or should I follow your buddy to Classic Coachwork?

I was toying with taking the car out to Cavallos in Westchester, but Cavallos in Newtown Square and Drexel Hill are slightly closer to me. Mind recommending a place?

Chris
I've used a shop in South NJ that matched my old Spa Yellow perfectly. If you need their contact information let me know.

Ouch, sorry to hear Donald. All three Cavallo's are owned by the same guy, and they all do great work. However Don does the painting at the West Chester location and he is flawless, so out of the three I would take it to West Chester. I don't know the painters at the other three, but knowing Cavallo's standards I would think they would be at the same level. Classic Coachwork also does amazing work, and that's where my friend LT works.

Seeing as you're putting it through insurance, either shop will do great work, and hack it out with the insurance companies to make sure it gets fixed the right way. I know Cavallo's guarantee's their work, I would assume Classic Coachwork would as well. Let me know how it works out.

Many thanks to everyone for their help and direction. Since I will be without the car for a while, I have decided to do some temporary patches until the school year ends and I don't have to teach, probably during the summer. In the meantime, I went to autotouchup.com and bought the aerosoles. Pretty good match. My pearl is closer to green, theirs is actually spot on ideally color balanced between green and red. When the front of my car was repainted and blended the, pearl that was used had a green tinge. The autotouchup.com spray blend better with the rest of the car.
