If you really can't wait philly scca holds a winter series. If you can wait philly scca can help you out there also. They hold events at Ripken Stadium in MD--really isn't that far, and also outside of philly, also in Bethlehem PA but that might be too far North. The summer schedule will not be out for a while, check the link.

Good luck. If you go to philly scca events you will see aklucsarits, another s2ki member with an NFR.

You can pre-register for the 2/18 event at Ripkien here:

I'm already signed up in AS with the S2000. But if it rains/snows, I'll be driving my SE-R in GS or STS.

i had a question about tracking, do u guys only use your s2000 to track? cause i would love to track in a few years when im outta college, but I don't see how I would be able to cause I figure insurance would charge an arm and a leg if they found out u were autocrossin
^^^ Your insurance would not be affected by autoXing. Most insurance policies state that they do not cover the car when it is in any sort of timed competition. So your insurer could care less if you AutoX the car because they are not liable if you somehow manage to damage the car AutoXing anyway. Same thing with track events - If you have an accident at the track the car is most likely not going to be covered by your auto insurance anyway. So the insurer does not really care.
But two other main points - It's very rare to see cars get damaged in autoX. There is nothing to hit but rubber traffic cones. I've been AutoXing with Philadelphia region SCCA for 4+ years, and we always have safe courses. Also Philadelphia region SCCA does not post cars with the AutoX event results anymore. So there is no way to correlate you to you car from the event results anyway.

i agree... auto-x is probably one of the safest motorsports out there...
because its mainly solo runs and speed just isnt there to do much damage...
well at least in the philly region... the courses are set up so tightly...
