Default changed diff fluid

just wanted to let everyone know i was successful in changing out the differential fluid. it really wasn't that bad with a second persons help...jacked the car up..made sure the fill bolt comes off before i drained(just in case hehehe). drained...snaked the 6 foot tube i bought through the drivers side wheel well...and had my dad squeeze the bottle while i made sure it didn't fall out...took like 20 minutes...good shit

the fluid looked pretty good and there was barely any type of metal flakes on the drain bolt so i'm feelin pretty good right now

i used mobil 1 75w90...i'm gonna give it a couple thousand miles and then switch it out for redline.

Don't bother with the redline, the mobile 1 you have in is at least as good, probably better. Read the oil journals in the under the hood thread.

haha yea i've read them many many times. i really think its awsome that there is an oil scientist on the boards!!! cut straight through the bullshit that everyone slings around relentlessly about what they're brothers backyard mechanic said was the best...

yea i'm not gonna swap it out for anything for atleast couple thousand miles...but i'm not gonna wait until 15k to change it.

anyone have any idea's for the bumper plugs?...the two holes on the passenger side have the screws still in the bumper..the drivers side doesn't...how am i gonna get the plug to stay in? any known good solutions? i'd prefer not to use superglue...

You may be able to fill the wholes with some sort of epoxy, then tap (a type of drill that creates the threads needed to screw into) the epoxy to create threads.
