Could this be the end...
Why not take it to the track, that's what it's for otherwise you should get an sl550 or something that just looks pretty to the bitches. You can buy insurance per event so and it not expensive at all so again, why the hell own a car like that and not reap all the benefits of what it can do
People don't understand, you are SAFER on the track than on 95 or the Schuylkill or ...... take your pick.
The last event I did (twilight no less) there were multiple $100K Porsches there.
It's a controlled environment with gentlemen drivers who ALL want to drive their cars home at the end of the day.
Go get that Z-06.

Just a little food for thought. Good discussion going on about a C6 Z06 owner missing his S2000 and thinking about picking up another one and selling the Vette.

Vince,
It might take 30 track sessions to "reap all of the benefits" of trying to master 600+ hp on a track.
I didn't know you track so much.
It could take the same amount of time to master my 410whp S based on power to weight but over the years we got it down pretty good. As for the c6 Z06, my buddy as one and I've driven it plenty. As far as driving experience, it would rival the experience I get in my S. Its a shit load faster and at the speeds your doing in that thing it 100% can out handle the S but at the same time, it does handle similar to the S, at least in my hands it did. However the looks don't do it for me as much and no drop top so I wouldn't consider it. The c7 has all of these issues fixed in my eyes.
At the end of the day the S is a really fun car to drive but I really like the vette and to have that kind of performance stats without touching a thing and a warranty sounds pretty damn good. Like I said, if I can keep the S I will as I know I will miss it, not doubting that at all, I mean I've have it for 11 years for a reason

So its official. I ordered it and it turns out I'll be one of the first in the country to receive it as my order went to production yesterday. GM just sent me the renderings of my build (just doesn't show the carbon front and side diffusers as shown in original post and red calipers) I decided to go for the coupe because all that performance needs to be tracked and the convert has no roll over protection so its not trackable. Also the coupe is a targa top like the NSX so its damn near a convertible. I was hoping to get it around May as estimated but I may be getting it as soon as December which is great but also sucks since I have to pay to have it sit in the garage right next to the S2000 until Aprilish when the gravel is all gone. Either way Im pumped and cant wait.
650HP and 650 TQ. Estimated mid 10's bone stock and ability to add 90 more HP with GM authorized pulley upgrade. Wicked!
Loaded with all the good stuff, 7 MT with launch control, nav with performance data recorder which is a fancy G-Tech, heated and AC'ed competition seats with 4 point harness, carbon ceramic monster brakes, carbon fiber dash.

So I've owned my S since 2003 and have loved every minute of it. I have often thought what would replace it and I think, well I know I found it. I will be ordering the 2015 Z06 just as you see it below. I didn't think I can find a 2 seat RWD roadster that I would like as much as my beloved S2000 and have been quoted saying "the only way I part ways with my Honda is when I total it" It seems the time has come to let her go. "If you love her, you will let her go" I have already put my 69 Camaro SS up for sale and I will keep enjoying my S until the z06 arrives whenever that may be next year. But, once it does it will be a joy filled yet sad day for me.
For those that know me and know my car, someone is going to get a great ride and I hope they enjoy it even half as much as I have and will until next year.

As a guy who is on his 3rd S2000, I also approve this message. You gotta try other things to truly appreciate the S2000. Will the Z06 arguably be a better car is almost every way, YES! Will you think to yourself, "damn, Honda got a lot right for a fraction of the price"? Also YES!
I see no wrong path here, you can always get another S2000 but know this, it will never feel like your first one. I echo the sentiment to keep both if possible.
