Could this be the end...
So I've owned my S since 2003 and have loved every minute of it. I have often thought what would replace it and I think, well I know I found it. I will be ordering the 2015 Z06 just as you see it below. I didn't think I can find a 2 seat RWD roadster that I would like as much as my beloved S2000 and have been quoted saying "the only way I part ways with my Honda is when I total it" It seems the time has come to let her go. "If you love her, you will let her go" I have already put my 69 Camaro SS up for sale and I will keep enjoying my S until the z06 arrives whenever that may be next year. But, once it does it will be a joy filled yet sad day for me.
For those that know me and know my car, someone is going to get a great ride and I hope they enjoy it even half as much as I have and will until next year.

Good luck with the Z06.
I also did what you are doing, but in 06'. I gave back my lease 03' GPW/Tan and ordered my 2007 Velocity Yellow Z51 from a dealership in Michigan.
1 month into owning the car of my dreams, all I ever thought about was the S2000.
My point is, from experience, if you can keep both, I highly recommended you do so..... Nothing will replace my S2000, but I will always look to add on to it.

I agree with Larry....if you can hang on to your S2000, do it.
You have a lot of time, $, love, and wrench time invested in your s2000. Your s2000 is awesome!
While the Z06 is incredible, and it's tough to find fault in your upgrade, I'd personally be afraid of wanting an S2000 again in the future and not being able to find one as nice as yours is. If in two years or so of owning both and the s is under 2 inches of dust, then sell it.
I am excited to see a new Z06 roaming around town though. Can't wait to see it.

I agree you do see the vette all over but not like this. Larry, not to knock ur z51 but The redesign out classes any vette ever made in all aspects. I doubt you have gotten the same experience with the 650hp z06 coming out that has unbelievable handleing aspects. I would love to keep the s and I most likely will keep it for a little while after I get the z06 just to make sure I made the right choice and don't want to get out of the z06 however with the price tag climbing towards 6 figures, I don't know if I can justify the s being a garage queen any more. As long as I can have the same kind of smile in the vette that the s gives me, it's really about having 2 of the same car, as far as function and uses. Don't get me wrong, if my funds allow me to keep it I will for sure.
once you get rid of the first one its never the same. but the good news is once i let go of my GPW, it became much easier to find another one as i am much less picky now. the S2000 is a great car in any trim and color, and there is still alot of them out there if you decide to come back. I have been eyeing up the new boxster and alfa 4C myself after i move and settle in to FL.
Vince, 8 years ago the C6 was basically what you are describing, nothing like the old vette was. C6 ZO6's and grandsports are a dime a dozen, so will your new ZO6 in 2017. 400hp, 600 hp.... Really no difference imo. My vette was way to fast for the regular streets. It was a 2 gear pull then, I had to shut it down mid way through 2nd gear because I was way over the speed limit.
Anyway, the wife wants the new NSX or a Ferrari 430 next year. We decided the S is so special that she's not going anywhere. We considered the new C7 vette as well, but since I've been there done that and she hates vettes.... it's not an option.
For some reason, the Corvette ages so quickly. Look at the C6, it looks like a damn relic next to the C7. Same thing with the C6 to C5, C5 to C4, etc. Ultimately it's a Chevy.
For bang for your buck, the Vette is pretty hard to pass up, but like I said before, where can you take it to actually enjoy the car? I'm just talking about my 2 year ownership experience with owning a Vette.
Remember, the new NSX is on it's way, don't rule it out. Yea, it might be a little more money than the ZO6, but might only be 20k more than the ZO6 and blow it out if the water.

Exactly. But, would you take you $80,000 ZO6 to a track? I wouldn't, unless I have a lot of F U money.
Now, a C5ZO6 for $20,000... Hell yea!
Nsx won't work for me. Need a stick. I can't do the double clutch, I'll get sick of that too fast. But what you say is true and I hear ya but the 15 z06 is. Benchmark and also damn good looking, not a vette guy but this one steps out of the vette box. I have owned an 03 nsx and sold it quick because the s was more fun and I hope I can keep both. I do a lot of track events so I would 100% use it
