Default Crunch!

If you travel the NJ Turnpike, you know how it can suddenly stop dead because some idiot tried to drive and chew gum at the same time...

This is how the Corolla that hit us looks:

The CR-V wasn't badly damaged, but the bent muffler makes it sound a little more like my car than it did before.

No one was hurt, just a typical fender bender...or hood bender in this case.

Yeah, they were nice guys, actually. The one leaning against the divider was the younger brother, and he was asleep just before they hit us, so he woke up to his brother screaming "F*******ck!!!" when he realized he wasn't going to stop in time. He said it scared the crap out of him.

The guy who was driving was in the 101st Airborne up until last year, and they were on their way back from seeing his twin brother in VA who's a Navy SEAL and is just about to be deployed. We talked for a while before the cops showed up

The driver was very apologetic, especially when he found out my daughter was in the car.

^^^^ Thanks, Frank. Yeah, all is fine. The appraiser is going to take a look tomorrow, so we'll see how bad it really is. It looks ok from outside, but there may be damage I can't see under the bumper.
