When I used to wash my car, I would just do it at home. We have hot water outside.

If you dn't have a garage, you can go to a coin-op. Rinse the car off really good, wash with Optimum No Rinse (1 panel at a time), mist some QD on the panel just washed, and dry it. Do this all the way around until your done.

Then yous will be shiny again

I get the car back tomorrow and it will be polished so it will be a few days before I have to think about washing it!!!

Now that I have retired I picked up a Jeep Wrangler so the S2K stays in the garage when bad weather arrives and the Jeep stays in the driveway. Wipe it down with quick detailing spray as I detailed it before winter set in.

I was thinking about getting a beater, but I live in the Washington SQ in the City and pay for parking. Paying for two cars is just nutz! I would leave my S at my rents place but then I would have to drive to go and get, and return to pick up my beater. I'm all about convenience and there is no good solution for this right now.

I'm just going to cowboy up and either wash it on a nice day, or go to a highly recomended car way and grit my teeth (polish and wax the nose after.)

Well the weather was nice enough today to clean my wife's lexus, it was filthy. I first went to the power wash to get off as much white shit, Brine, etc.. Her red car looked white. Than home to the try DP four in one dry wash, it worked very well!!! After that I wiped it down with Meguiars ultimate quick detail and she looks brand new. I am not even trying to tackle the truck or crv today, gotta watch football.

so here is the idiot version of how i keep my car clean..
yesterday (saturday) i swear i woke up and saw the temp was like 34, so i said screw it ill go to the DIY wash and at least powerwash the dirt off. so i put 3 bucks in and apparently it was 16 degrees so it instantly froze to my car.... i am an idiot
so today it was nicer out and i used 2 buckets, one with soap, one with water. both hot and did it real slow, piece by piece and dried it with a microfiber towel... looks great FINALLY!

ha, that's pretty funny that it froze...i got up on Saturday to do the same thing, but I think my colder spark plugs were not happy with the weather. My car sounded like a cammed-out vette...got a CEL and everything..after a few minutes it returned to normal...but i decided against washing the car!
