Default Finding S02's

Has anyone here found a tire store in the area that sell's the OEM S02's for a decent price? Or is TireRack the only option anymore? I'm sticking with these on the rear until my front's are gone, then it's another brand......too much of a hassle!

Buy from tire rack and get mounted locally, its the best way to go. Just make sure they are careful with your rims not to damage...

Ron's Tires on Naamans road (route 92) in Delaware. I got two SO3's mounted and balanced for 170 a piece ... I imagine the SO2's would be comparable or less!.. its a hole in the wall establishment but the dude rocks when it comes to tires!

yea i purchased from Tire Rack and then went to HEndrick Honda here in Charlotte to get my two new fronts mounted and balanced. I say go to your dealership cause they dont charge that much and in this instance, Hendrick has 3 people in particular dedicated only to s2000's so you know your car will be taken care of.

Sbeall ---Here is the info;
American Tire & Auto
3275 Quakerbridge Road
Mercerville, NJ 08619
609 588 5555

Zippy - I wrote the numbers down off the new rear tires;

225/50 ZR16 S02JZ T901 N-3 Tubeless E4

My old original front tires are

205/55 R16 89W K9901 Tubeless E4

What is the "W" you were refering to ?

I went to the bridgestone site for a S02 description and do you think I bought the S-02 for the porshe boxter ??

http://www.bridgestonetire.com/dpp/sizespe...sproductid=1024

please advise

Scott,
Those tires are not the OEM Honda tires. This was a point of discussion quite a while back on the boards. The tread designs are similar but the OEM tire actually has a more substantial contact patch. There is more rubber on the road in the same area.
There is also a difference on the compound. The OEM tire is a better grip in dry compound, i.e. softer.
The W speed rating is the give away for our tires. (89W)
I did a quick search on this but there are just too many threads , sorry.
