Question a fond farewell!

They say timing is everything in life and the time has come for me to part with the S2000. She will be going to a good home and I'm sure you will be seeing her at all kinds of S2000 events but just not with me.

So to all my friends I have made here thanks for making the ownership of my S2000 a most pleasant experience it truly is a great car but this is a fantastic community, I tip my hat to all of you and yes you too Jerry.

Fear not I will own something in the near future just not sure what it will be, I will still be around, stopping in at local S2000 events to say hi, and when I buy another toy joining all of you on LWG runs and such.

At this time I would like you to welcome your new owner/member Joe.

He will be coming by sunday for final inspection actually his first time physically seeing the car and then picking her up if all goes well the following week.

I know after corresponding with him for the last week he will not be disappointed when he sees her, if you would like to chime in with your opinion of my car to perhaps ease any trepidations he may have feel free.

Charlie

Thanks for the introduction charlie.

The time has come for me also. The time to realize a dream, to own an S2000. I remember seeing the car in AutoWeek years and years ago.

So for those of you that have seen charlies car, is it as nice as he says it is?

Chuckie's car is nice. It's of course due to endless hours of cleaning the rims with a toothbrush, washing it every 3 hours and never driving it.

I particularly like the way it looks when he finds small puddles, dumps the clutch at 8K RPM, and tries to hold it there for more than a minute. The one time he held it for over 3 minutes, that was quite impressive. Other than that, I believe he drives the car like a grandma.

Chuckie - We'll miss you. Actually, we'll miss the big boxes of pretzels and candy at the BBQ/tech day/casual events, but someone has to carry them, so yes, we'll miss you too.

So - GL to Chuckie, and all the things going on with him, and Welcome to Joe - hope to meet you at an event this summer.

What are you talking about. You are no longer my official adopted son. Come to your senses and stop smoking that stuff. Just kidding, I'm not surprised especially with the new arrival on the way. Look at it this way, you will always have an S2000 to ride in , drive in go to events in and clean as long as I have mine. Joe, I was the guy who convinced Charlie to buy his S2000 after he took a ride in mine. I can firmly attest that his car is a cream puff. One of the nicest model year 2000's around. In addition he has some nice additions (Rims, exhaust, badges, etc) but it 's not overdone. You wont be disappointed. Charlie, I'll see you soon before post S2000 depression sets in.

Charlie,

Say it isn't so! The added responsibility of a child means no S? Isn't there any way? I met Joe and it is going to a nice owner who will take care of it and also drive it hard. Charlie keep this in mind, there is a Mistsu Evo 8 that I have seen autocrossing and the liscense plate is "TURBO DAD". Get'em used to the g-forces while they are young! (Actually not a good idea because of the lack of neck muscles and movement of the brain---disclaimer). Can't wait to see what toy you bring to a LWG run.

Joe,

This car is in great shape. Charlie is METICULOUS and the car is beautiful even though it is black and white is faster.

Good luck to both of you,

John Oldt

Mikey I know you are struggling with the same thoughts... it was a very hard decision. I have been throwing it around for sometime as I'm sure you are as well.

My fantastic wife said I know it hurts to get rid of your car but when we are ready for another garage queen just say the word and it's yours...... I'm a lucky guy!
