friends.........
Just read this, great news that all went well. We all take forgranted what is most important to us all, Our health.
I am extremely happy that your wife is doing well, I hope she recovers to live a long and healthy life with you by her side.
Tell Kristen that she is a great person and that people like her make this earth a better place.
All the best to you all, my good thoughts are with you.

Charlie, I think a lot of us read about this situation and find it hard to get the words out that descibe the ..... damn still can't do it. Basically -- tons and tons of congratulations and celebrations are in order! I am very very happy for you that it has turned out this way!

It's important for me to write down my feelings and emotions as well as what happened during the day. I then can read it back to myself and get a real understanding of what actually happened today. It may sound crazy but you just go thru emotional days like this on auto pilot absorbing info but not really processing it, writing it down at night berfore I go to bed helps me digest the days news and events so I can understand what happened more clearly.
This silly little internet site has been my distraction from the daily stresses of living with someone who is very sick and I have met many great people here and also made a real friend as well. It has helped me keep my mind off of the troubles we had this past year and for a moment think about having that supersprint exhaust or that next stereo upgrade.
Great news charlie. A friend of mine just sent me some "thoughts to ponder" and one of them seemed to be appropriate for this thread:
"You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person."
Continued good luck and a speedy recovery for both ladies.

Michele has been moved out of ICU and into a regular room. They removed a couple IV's and one draining tube from her side. She is very tired and trying to sleep but you know no rest can be had in a hospital. It was painful removing the one draining tube she said.
Kristen is exhibiting the same symptoms of fatigue as Michele. I actually expected her to just jump out of bed but today is the second day after surgery and the first time she made it out of bed for just a few minutes. The loss of 60% of her liver and the very invasive surgery has really wiped them out. All of this is very normal and with time they will regain their strength.
Oh! they actually were able to see each other today for the first time since the surgery
As they were bringing Michele to her room they wheeled her by Kristen's and they were able to wave at each other, this was a very touching moment as you could imagine
They are 2 room apart and Kristen is going to try and walk over to Michele's room later today.
They plan on getting Michele in a chair today for a little while(she's not looking forward to that)
Anyway everything is still going great with little interruption from the Doc's just routine blood work and vitals but no problems at all
I'll update everyone when I get home later tonight after we speak to the Lead surgeon and hepatoligist
Later.....
