New Jersey is the home state to the most superfund toxic waste sites in the nation. Our rivers are polluted, our roads are congested, our cities are run down, crime is everywhere and corruption is rampant. New Jersey is also the most magnificent state in the nation. Ed (emg88), Ellen (Tadashi), myself in conjunction with the North East Region of S2CKA, The NJ/NY Chapter of S2KCA, and the Vintage Forum would like to show it to you. We are proud to present "The Gathering in the Garden State".

Among the activities being planned is a drive through New Jersey and New York, a dinner/celebration and a great deal of fun. For the first time the fine members of S2KI will have the opportunity to meet, socialize with and drive along side the fine menbers of S2KCA. This meet is intended to bridge the gap between the clubs and show that we are really one community dedicated to our common love of the S2000.


This meet is scheduled for Friday August 24th to Sunday August 26th, and will not conflict with any other meet. It will be headquartered in beautiful Northern New Jersey.

No, lots of people have heard of S2KCA. And lots of people there have heard of S2KI. The thing is there seems to be this invisible wall between the two. Lots of people here don't know or don't want to know about S2KCA, and the same goes on there about S2KI. The thing is, we all have our love of the S2000 in common.

I am an ex CO and co founder of Vintage here, and the Northeast Regional Director and member of the board there. We (those of us planning this meet) belong to, and always will support, both sites. We thought it was about time that the two groups drove together at a meet. Originally it was to be a small meet, but the idea sounded so good to us that we decided to reach out to everyone in the S2000 community to participate. So far its been very exciting.

It promises to be a great meet. I hope you'll join us.

 

I'm starting the gathering of information on the Saturday banquet. Anyone have allergies or huge dislikes or is a vegan or anything that would preclude you having dinner with a great bunch of people?

 

I'll be 3,000 miles east of here that weekend

 

haha ya im a walking allergy. and i cant even be around the smell of seafood HIGHLY allergic.

i have to work that friday and sunday but ill probably be able to come up for that saturday i just wont be able to eat anything im only about 1.5 hours south of the meet.
