Going to Carlisle?

Hey VR I'll be there early on Friday... the crowds get nasty on the weekend and the weather looks to be better on Thursday and Friday Make sure you arrive *really early* to avoid the worst of the road gridlock
I have tried in the past to get ppl interested in a get together at various Carlisle events thru the season... never had any success last year. I always have a hoot.... just walking around and checking out the classic iron, vendors and other sh*t. Have a great time
Oh, yeah... add a line on Charlie's "Chime In" thread pasted to the top if you'd like to join this dysfunctional group

Are you talking about the Compact/Import Car show? Usually it is awfull (in my opinion). Spray can painted dashboards, alteeza lights out the wazooo, fire extinguishers on the A-pillars, painted rear drum brakes, etc.........
I live about 10 miles from there, but I doubt I will go to that show...... There are a few classy cars and a few decent vendors (HRE), but for the most part it is crap with a bunch of skinny 18 year olds wearing size 42pants.

The weather DOES SUCK going into it. I got there a little late last year. But will try to get there a little earlier this year. I love to see the burn-out contest. Last year was pretty good.
Scot, I know what you mean about the rice that goes on down there. But I still enjoy to see people's creativity, yet knock on those who do shitty jobs. Its all in good fun, plus it gives me a chance to stretch my baby's legs. It's about an hour or so drive for me.

Scot-
I'm talkin about the Spring (going on thru this weekend), Summer, and Fall Carlisle shows... not the ricer Import/Compact one. I also usually go to the Chryslers in Carlisle one in July... much smaller and a nice recall of my Mopar youth
Six or seven bucks buys a day of vintage 40/50/60 eye candy for the car buff and then I can smugly drive away in my low-maintenance S

DOH.... Hahahaha... all this time I'm talking about *this weekend's* event at Carlisle... since VR posted it right before the first Carlisle of the season (long winter of cabin fever )
In any event , I AM leaving metro Philly tonight to drive to bucolic Central PA... and ready to enjoy Spring Carlisle for 5-6 hours tomorrow, Friday, April 25th
Thanks for the *heads up* Paulie, or else I might have driven to the OBX tonight
