Help with AP1 Retainer Upgrade
Hey guys, I just got my AP1 and I'm wanting to do the AP2 retainers. I'm a little worried about tackling it myself and don't have all the tools readily available at the moment. So my question is, is there anyone in the area that has done this before and would be willing to help me out? I don't have the funds to pay a shop to do it so let me know! Thanks in advance..

Yep, you should sign up or come out to the Billman meet. Great way to learn about your car and meet local owners.
I've had my car forever and STILL learn something new every time I attend this meet.
See you there.?. I work in the Hamilton/Trenton/Mercerville, probably see you on the roads.

You owe it to yourself and your car to show up to Round 5 at my place.
PM Bill and ask him for an estimate. If you don't need retainers, Bill won't charge you for them. Pay for a valve adjustment and a retainer check and go from there. If you don't have the funds for a full upgrade, just replace what's necessary, if any.....
Your AP1 retainers may be just fine.
Stop up.

I have PM'd him already and I can't afford the estimate. I've already ordered the parts, but I'll stop by to meet everyone!

Look at it this way, can you afford a new motor if you mess up the install / upgrade? Plus the cost of the tools that you don't already have to do the work.
PM sent with my address. Hope to see you there.
