The Bay Islands of Honduras share the same reef as Belize. In many places the reef is literally right offshore - West Bay beach - clear water, beautiful reef. The property we are considering has the reef about 1/2 mile off shore - haven't snorkelled there yet. We are headed back down at the end of the month to hopefully sign papers and get a piece of an undeveloped beach. Already h ave the house designed!

Saw one rx7 there - can't imagine having a sports car, as the roads are very rough. Twisty, hilly, but rough. Going to have to buy another pickup for down there...

Anyone wanting something a bit off the beaten path, I'd recommend Roatan. Its one of te best places in the world to snorkel with whale sharks!
