points are transfered from state to state.

since you have a moving violation, you have points. if points go on your record then the insurance will most likely go up.

Yep as of a few years ago point now transfer from state to state (didn't use to due to an unreliable internal network between authorities). Did the officer tell you that you got points? Also points will not always increase your insurance if you are not changing companies as they do not always reassess every year.

46 States are part of the DLC, Drivers License Compact. PA is one of them, but from hear say, they only transfer points from certain criteria.

They've been part of this since 95 and I've had offenses in other states that didn't show on my driving record at all. There's a website where you can look up your offenses. I can post that later.

3 points will be removed from your license after 12 consecutive months of violation free driving.
As for insurance, keep it on the downlow and hopefully your insurance wont find out about it.

Sorry if this just gets your hopes up. It all depends on the person that wrote your ticket / how they wrote it. You may or may not get points. But most likely will.

I got an NY ticket, paid it, and it never showed up on my NJ record. Pay it, and chances are it'll go away.
