I worked SOOOOO hard today........
Well not really... I already feel I'm in Ireland. But anyway.... Rick and I had a nice little discussion today about this site and the mods people do to their cars.... It just kinda carried over into the the S2000 talk forum. Here is our post..

P.S. The post was certainly not meant to offend the likes of people like Ryan who DO decide to add body kits. More of just an opinion of how we feel about body kits in general. Really just a yap session that we decided to make into a thread that's all.

That was some interesting points. I wouldn't say I completely agree though. The forums are becoming more youngster oriented and less car talk, but I don't think there would be much life here if no one started these controversial discussions and these threads about someone's boots, annoying people, and wanting dates. They are not for me, which would explain my absence but what can you do about it........ nothing.
As for the body kits, I partially agree, the part I cannot agree with is that an S2000 and my car are not status symbols. No one is going to like you better or look up to you because you have this car. If they do then they have serious confidence problems. The s2000 is exactly like my rex in one way "Bang for the Buck" if you want to put a kit on it go ahead. We won't like how it looks but unless someone has the power to tell another person how to dress, live their live and what not. I think you can get away with modding your car. Hell, it's the same as an opinion, your entitled to it. And the wonderful thing about opinions is that they don't effect my life in anyway, I still have to get up and goto work and I still live my life like nothing happened. So unless that changes I don't care.

Mission Accomplished, Sir.
Pretty funny that this came up after our PM exchange a week or two ago
My feelings are still the same: Both the LCC* cars look extremely
except for.... well, you know

*Lewes Custom Club
Well I have lots to say about this as the whole thing kind of amazes me. BUT I will do what Rick asked of others, but did not do HIMSELF.
REFRAIN from speaking if you do not have anything nice to say!

I'm glad that you have calmed down, Ryan. I've read every post on that thread, so I can *feel Paulie's shame* I never knew before that elitism was one of his probs

OOOPS...
Just realized my comment about the veilside kit being nasty may seem to go against my mods list.
I've got a Veilside tonneau cover coming - the piece that goes behind the seats and covers the top when it's folded down. I like the factory piece for everyday use, but knew I would miss the hard boot that my M3 had when I was out driving around in great weather or putting it in shows. The veilside cover lines up with the car's roll bars and looks decent (IMHO), and it should fit better than some of the $200 copies of it out there.
