Default Installing summer tires

It is FINALLY time to take off the winter tires and reinstall the summer tires. I'll be doing it next week before heading to the beach house for the week end, hopefully the rain will end by then. I have both sets mounted on rims but I forgot to note which side the front and rear summer tires came off of. Does it matter when I reinstall them. Car has under 9K miles on it so far.

I forget if they put S02's or 03's on the 2004's, but if they are dirictional(and I think they are) they must go back to there original location. Just look for a "rotation" or "direction" arrow on the tire. That will tell you which side they belong on

Or you can go by the camber wear.

The tires are RE050's and there is a rotation arrow on all of them. I'm guessing the arrow would point forward when reinstalling. Thanks for the help. I'll try to remember to put the wide tires on the back, Jerry. Beach was nice today, cant wait for warm weather. Lots of cops out for the holiday. Happy Easter to everyone.

Can I swap the rears as you suggest. All 4 tires have the arrows and I thought they had to be installed the same way the arrows point. Thanks for all the help.

Ray,

You don't actually flip them. Just change from the left rear to the right rear. The arrows will still be headed in the correct direction...The left rear with worn tread on the inside will then be the right rear with worn tread on the outside and vice versa.

Hope that helps.
