Introduction and Supercharger Install Help
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to this forum and created an introduction in the appropriate section, but figured since I was posting here for the first time I would also introduce myself. My name is Chip and I have an 04 S2000 that I bought from my friend in FL. It is a blast to drive and I bought it with a few mods done to it already. It has a JVT header, hi flow cat, and Invidia Q300 exhaust, intake, and a few other cosmetic goodies.
Anyway, today I jumped in on the group buy pricing of the Kraftwerks Supercharger kit to add a little extra ummph. I went with the C38-91 upgrade as well as the 85mm pulley upgrade. Originally I had a full estimate done to supercharge the S and the labor to install just the kit was close to $1,000!
So this is where I was hoping maybe some members that have done this to their own S2000 may want to jump in and help a new guy out. I'm not opposed to getting my hands dirty and I won't be standing there while you do the work, I would just prefer having an extra set of hands there from someone that has done this before. More or less as a guide. Also, it is always nice to have an extra set of eyes on the job just to double check things. I have a garage so we wouldn't be out in the elements and I can put a space heater in there as well so we aren't freezing. I am NOT asking for you to come do this for free either. I just thought that $1,000 was a bit steep and hopefully someone would be kind enough to help out for a nominal fee as well as for some food and beers. I am located in South Jersey about 20 min away from Philly, further specifics can be given later.
If anyone is willing to help I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm not a Delaware native but let me say that while the thought of the install might be daunting, if you have some amount of general wrenching sense, you'll be totally fine.
I think you definitely need an extra set of hands when it comes to breaking the crank pulley loose and generally helping with holding things etc. If you have some other car friends (not necessarily s2000 owners) set up a few beers, some good food and knock it out in a day or 2 max.
Either way, good luck with the build.
PS. The instructions you got are likely off, take a look at this, it'll give you the right pages that are missing

Driving to somewhere else to install it is always an option depending on distance. Also one of those things where it would kinda have to be done in one day if I was bringing the car there.
Hi Mr. Francesco

I live in Magnolia, NJ. It would be cooling you are willing to help. I have some tools handy, but not a huge amount. I know I would need to get the tool to remove the pulley as well as the Torx sockets to get the ECU out. So any tools that you may have that might be necessary would always be helpful.
Thanks Billman. I think when I was searching around on here for info on this kit, I was searching a thread that might have been members from the UK or Ireland, I can't remember which, but they were talking about the bolts holding the ECU being very difficult to remove and it require an E11 torx bit. But I'm glad to hear that it is only a 10mm bolt.
By the way, I'm looking forward to your review/write up of the kit and how your experience was installing it.
