Default Jersey Owners Without Front Plates

I'm waiting on my registration and plates from the dealer and I'd rather install bumper plugs than the front plate.

Do any of you Jersey owners who don't run front plates ever get hassled by the 5-0?

Putting the liscense plate on your dash does 2 things,

A) It acknowledges that you know that its illegal to run no front liscense plate
B) Its an obstruction of view ticket
C) It doesn't count as a "front liscense plate" either

So either completly take it off and maybe store it under your seat (and play stupid saying, you just got the car back from the body shop or something and they didn't mount it), or put the plate on.

FWIW, I've been stoped 1 time in about a year of running "plateless" and he let me go. He just wanted to "inform" me that I was missing one.

For a 54 dollar fix-a-ticket, it would be worth it *knock on wood*

All depends on the cop though. I have friends in NJ that get bothered for no front plates, and others get tickets all the time for it.

I used to get stopped alot, and they always said something about no front plate, but they couldn't do anything because I have PA tags

Hm...maybe I'll try running w/out front plates and see what happens. It looks so much cleaner I also read that you need to take off the front bumper to properly install the bumper plugs, b/c if you push them in this could snap off the bracket or nut on the other side? Do I have that right? I wonder how much of a hassle it is to not run front plates and then put it on later...
