i suggest getting a97-98 saturn.....dont laugh i am the biggest honda guy ever, but those cars are dirt cheap and very reliable. plus they dont get stolen, and never have dents or rust cause there plastic. can find nice ones all day for 1500 with every option. i've had two and love them.

I hope that they did big revisions in '97, because my sister-in-law's '96 sucked big time. Broke down a couple times, and eventually bit the farm when the parking brake randomly let go one morning on a very slight hill after being parked for 14 or so hours, right into traffic.
