Hey Ken... In all seriousness.... How many times did you try it? Obviously today you can't run it again but if you feel like you need to bring it to the dealer, try it again on the way. Might have just been a fluke. That happened to me once before. Hasn't happened in a really long time. In my experience (87000 on mine) if you REALLY had a serious problem, your CEL would have come on. Not saying that problems don't happen without the CEL but usually the big ones cause a CEL.

Do you hit an early fuel cut rev limiter when the car is fully warmed too?

Andrew
Andrew, I am not sure if I got an under-temp cutoff, didn't try it.

Well, I'll be....Paulie, guess my car had whatever flu yours did. Took it out this afternoon and it's back. This is weird, after 5 1/2 years with this car, it did something unexplainable.

Everyone thanks for your suggestions, if t happens again, I'll try them all over again.

Now I goota look in the Helms to see how to reset the maint light.

Can't we at least get this thread up to 3 pages? We haven't had a good 'engine diagnostics' thread for a long time....
