LSHatch will be gone.
Well, at the end of August, I'm moving to Las Vegas. I'm really excited after visiting there for the first time last month. So much to do, and so many places near it.
The LV S2ki community is pretty large and they seem to have a lot of meets, so that will be good to meet some new S2k owners. I'm not sure if they will be able to compare to the Del-Val guys though. You guys are all awesome and very friendly. I'll definitely miss everyone.
As for the car, it's getting shipped to California very soon to go for a complete motor rebuild. Sleeved, pistons, rods, the works. All part of my goal for 500+whp. The car won't be a trailer queen or drag-only car. It will be road raced and autocrossed even with the power it will be making.
Well, I just thought I would let everyone know. To the members I've hungout with a lot and met up with many times before, I'll miss you guys. John, John, Jackson and Jen, Frank, Nishant, Trich, Mikey, Chris, Brad, Eric, and Nate. If I missed anyone I've talked to frequently, I'm sorry, it's early and I'm very tired.
I'll try to meet up with everyone before I leave at some point.

Kevin,
This is excellent news! Now we all have a place to stay for free when we go out to Vegas! Plus we have an S2000 we can borrow.
Seriously, good luck out there and hopefully I will see you when I visit.
Study up on the HBO series Cat House (I think) and you will know the women in Pahrump when you get out there.
There is also a nice racetrack in Pahrump called Spring Mountain. They have a drivers school using C5 vettes which are closer to your 500HP goal.
Canyon runs will be nice out there. I was cheap so I rented a Neon and had the foot to the floor for the entire drive through the canyon inbetween Vegas and Pahrump. I looked in my mirror and a red car was closing FAST! I thought it might be a vette until it got closer and went screaming past, a Ferrari F40. And for the record I was going to Pahrump for the racetrack.
If you get a chance definitely sign up for a Derek Daly Driving School. Get into the racecars not just the BMW's. With the telemetry they have you will see how you are driving and then they will tell you how you should be driving.
I found that the stock S2000 engine has plenty of power to haul me around the track AND get me in trouble. 500HP?? Are you on crack?
You might have to put a V8 in for that kind of power. Good luck with the motor rebuild and remember what got you there in the first place. Don't stress the motor too much or you might be back to the shop and that takes away from the driving part of the budget.
Good luck,
John Oldt
