Ok, so i kept hearing al summer about this kid in my area who owns a 2006 GTV6 Eclipse. Apparently his parents paid for him to put about 10 grand into the car including full body kit rims and a supercharger (full exhaust, suspension etc). Maybe i'm nuts, but i personally dont see the point of putting all this money into a 3500lbs porker which is FWD
. He also claims to have run an 11.6 second 1/4 mile@ 121..at the drag, which sounds fishy to me considering the mass amounts of wheelspin he'd have off of the line. Does this sound fishy to anyone else??

i have to say... this same kid lists
"I have 3 FWD cars and the only and all of them break 12's so what ur point?
People under estimate FWD. There not as bad as people think. there are only a few differences between FWD and RWD.
You launch better with a RWD car,
you can power stand easier with RWD,
FWD are better from rolls,
No wheel hop with RWD"
"the worst thing u can do to a car when modding, is start with a body kit. I have modded many cars and currently own a
1996 Eclipse GSX (12.0)
2000 Skyline R34 GTS-T (11.9)
2006 Eclipse GT (11.3)
1994 Laser GSX (10.9)
2006 GT3 RS (stock 12.1)
All my cars other then the GT3 are HEAVILY MODDED. I never started with appearance with any of them. When modding a car you always want to start with power, b\c it will give you more motivation for future modding. So I suggest that you start with simple things, such as an injen cold air intake, injen cat back, and maybe some springs. Later down the road, look into forced induction, and full exhaust, along with full suspension, next weight reduction and finally after all your performance is finished then look into body kits and shit like that."
..I dont want to seem like I'm hating here, but i went through some of the eclipse forums (especially the 4G), and it really made me appreciate everyone here on s2ki. Everyone on here works with their car for the love and fun behind it. The cars are actually toyed with in the correct manner and are consistently built up with quality parts along with understanding for them. Everyone, well many people, that i saw in the 4G forums are making their very best attempts to be 'Fast and Furious'.....
on a side note, members name was 2Fast2Furious, whos eclipse was modeled exactly after the one in the movie...starting with green paint and intake
Heres a pic of the car (which i must say, doesnt look half bad)

heres the mod list which apparently sets 11 second drag times in an eclipse
"Ripp Stage 1 SDS, Ripp Long Tube headers,
Clutch Masters Stage 3, Clutch Masters Fly wheel, RC 1300cc Fuel System, Quaife LSD, Cusco Coils with EDK, WORKS cat back, 3.5" Full back, StopTECH BIG Brake kit. Venom Racing 75 Wet Shot"
