Maybe it has nothing to do with the EPS and steering, maybe it has something to do with the frame.
If the frame was bent, I don't think it would align.

It would still align, just not properly. How much it is in or out of spec all depends on the damage.

Well I hit two gaurd rails, yeah two! It was about a month ago, and I must have been going 60 - 70mph when it happened. My car only took blows to the rear bumber (both sides) and my driver side wheels took a little blow too.

The guy thats been doing the work has done a great job, and measured everything very carefully over and over before doing the paint work. I needed new suspension parts in the rear more than i did the front, so I'm not certain how much damage there really is.

I wasnt able to get the specs of the alignment from the guy, he was being shady. Also he said that there might be some sequence to getting the ECU to re-map the steering, I was like WTF are you talking about dude! He said some times you have to turn the wheel this way then that way, then drive forward, then reverse (and do the hokey pokey too) I asked to just get my car back since the alignment guy said he drove it agian and it seemed fine ? Anyway he didnt get to the detailing yet and I would like him to, so I left it in his graces for another F'n day.

Ahhhh, do you guys think that it could have been the ABS re-adjusting? This could have pulled he steering wheel left to right a couple times.

Remember our cars have electrical power steering. I'm not sure how it is wired, but if there is a crimp/break/scratch/etc in the wiring somewhere I wouldn't think it is far fetched that it could ground out partly and give extra steering help towards one side.

Though suffice it to say that I have yet to hear of a power steering failure for the S.

Edit: just thought of something, if they/you think it could be the power steering, pull the fuse and drive it without (start slow and careful if you've never driven a car without power steering before) to see how the alignment tracks.

That hokey pokey dance you just described with the steering is correct. There is a sequence to calibrate the EPS system. What usually happens is for whatever reason the system's idea of what centered is supposed to be goes out of whack, thus the power steering is boosting it to what it thinks is center.
