My aunt has an 05 murano sport. CVT transmission gave up after 3 years covered by warranty. Other than that, alright car that gets 26 mpg with the cvt. Sport model has a firm ride.

The sister car I believe is the infinit fx. Overall everything is more refined in the fx but gas mileage is totally dependent on your feet. I struggle to get 15 mpg average in the city. But the exhaust note, looks, ride, forum support and mods are much better than the murano IMO.

I heard the FX rides like SHYT (no offense) and that it feels tight but you feel every bump (not what i want). After owning the S2000 i'm ready for a smooth ride lol. I looking into 06-current Murano SL's with leather, heated seats etc.

I also read that the Murano S rides harsh but the SL is smoother.

The Murano seems very impressive as far as standard options. I believe SL's come standard with back up camera too. I was dead set on the Rav4 until I realized im paying a premium price for a VERY basic vehicle.

My GF has a 2010 rav4, its beautiful, but loud and somewhat rough. I hate the seats and interior in general.

I've only been in one ever, but the wind buffetting was so bad with the windows open that my ears hurt. I'll never get in one again by my choice.
