^ that sounds like a good idea will.

would there be requirements to vote though? I would assume you would need a delval badge for your vote to count?

i agree with heather will. I will volunteer as well as a vote count checker and tally up the votes to be as fair as possible.

and yes a del val badge would be a requirement for participation.

i think the pm idea is a good one, the names should be compared to the active roster to be considered a valid vote.

If you want someone to collect and tally pm's, I'll do it. Or send em to me and someone else. That way you have an error checker.
I'd also suggest and say that I don't necessarily see much harm in a public vote where the votes are visible, unless others disagree and want their votes to be private.

Why not open up a non-poll/regular thread that is strictly vote only tallied by the OP and verifiable by the community. I'd recommend that Mods delete/edit any posts or content that is not vote-related. It seems like the best way to work with the limitations of the software running on the board, while maintaining accountability and credibility among all members.

Another question is, is it possible for single threads to have exclusive/access controls? Would it be difficult to create a poll thread that only delval badge holders have access to?

I'll post a thread tomorrow to get the voting started if no one objects, and 2poor2mod and pstar420 can tally the votes? I can help as well if either one of you changes your mind.

I know him personally and I know he has the community in his best interests like Frank. He would make a great CO IMO.

I was just curious. Both Mike and Jerry have commented here. They both support the development of the community, but do they want to remain in the runnings? I assume not by the tone of their writing, but then again we're on a forum and not in person...
Thanks for asking..... my struggling business, and my new family life preclude me from having the time demanded of the CO position.

I plan to always be involved in some capacity, and will still plan and host meets as time allows.

Is Ken interested?
Is Gary interested?
Is Paulie interested?
Is Tom interested?

Any of them would make fine CO's IMO.

Ok then, I guess I'll be needing a D-V badge.
