Onto the interior!
I've delved into the interior... first step was adding/upgrading the speakers and running all the wiring required for the sound system. The Focal separates worked great - the tweeter looks amazing in the OEM pod.
So... being as the interior was apart, I decided to swap the door panels (the seats are reserved for a few nights this week). I'm not 100% happy with the result; it's not quite as "tight" as I'd like to see the panels. I'd gotten the new material to get much tighter by cutting out the outer stitches and gluing the red to the foam, but it's still not perfect. I think the kit was supposed to be baggy on the doors to give a "plush" look - not what I was going for. Granted, it'll never fit as "flawless" as the factory pieces, but for around $600 for the whole interior (two tone seats, contrast stitching, new door panels), I can't complain.
I may wait a few months then order replacement door pieces (from Katzkin) and redo them - the first set is always a bitch to get right (especially with the pattern sewn into them).
So, the seats should start monday night, hope to wrap up tuesday night. The stereo sounds incredible now - I'm using the Alpine F340 amp to drive the Focals and running the JL 5.25" rears off the deck's amplifier. I've got XM running again (hurray!), and can hear the music over the exhaust. Top plate for the sub box (I'm not a bass-head, it's for shows and is easily removable for track events) should be ready this week as well.

I looked at going the OEM route, but it costs a bunch of $$ and the OEM color panels aren't an exact match for the new red leather on the seat inserts. I usually don't mind spending the extra $$ to get better gear, but new door panels would cost more than I what I've got in the new interior (total), and the mismatched reds would probably look like ass.
No such luck - I'm a new media producer/programmer - fancy way of saying I'm a "geek who builds internet stuff"... I don't even own a tie
