Default Question for mikes2k (and others)

Mike, I saw in the electronics forum that you got your DVD/Nav/dash cut done at the shop in Glenside. Are you happy with the work? Any recent experiences with them?

I saw an S in an issue of PAS magazine that had a one DIN flip out screen installed in the dash and wanted to look into doing this.

Also, where else have people gotten custom audio work done in the area? I want to clean up my system a bit, and don't have the time to make custom enclosures, etc. myself. I work in Willow Grove and I heard that HR auto radio in Warminster (York Rd.) does good work. Anybody have any input on them or other places? Thanks for the input everyone.

p.s. Didn't want to post in Electronics due to the local flair of the post

I just started working for an audio shop.

Imagine Audio
Check out the pics. That S with the flip out was done there.
They do outstanding clean work, but it might cost a few extra bucks more than the normal audio shop, but its worth it if you only have to get it done once the right way and never worry about it again.

If you want stop by for an estimate.

The work on the S2000 looks really nice I'll most likely stop by next weekend, since it'll be my first free time between now and then. When are you working revhi?

I am extremely satisfied with the work! I have been using Sound City for over 10 years. They are a small shop turning out very high quality fabrication work. They sell mid/high end brands. They do a lot of custom fabrication. They have done at least 7 S2k dash cuts that I know off, and one top of the dash cut rising monitor on actuators. You are so close you owe it to yourself to check them out! Call me I only work 5 minutes from there......we can have a mini meet

I have in the past used H&R for basic alarm or antennae work on our work van, they do nice work but near the level of Sound City or Jackson's shop (which FYI is another great high-end shop)

Remember with custom fabrication you clearly get what you pay for!

Thanks Mike! I've seen an S with the rising monitor that was featured in an import mag a while back. I wonder if its the same one that Sound City did (the whole car was insane but the rising screen was just something else). The owner was from this area too. He had a lot of custom chrome work done under the hood as well.

If I can I'll have to go by SCO at lunch tomorrow and get some more details. It's worth shelling out the cash if they do the best work. I could probably get a unit in there much cheaper with a box cutter and elmer's glue, but the car would probably grow arms and beat me senseless.

Yes that is the car they worked on! When you go talk to Matt or Lane and mention me...they have worked on a lot of S2000's from this site!
