Default Snow Day

It took me an hour, 4 cans of deicer, 2 scrapers and a paint scraper to defrost my truck this morning. Thats what I get for not fixing the heat in it. Half way throuh scraping I got a call from work saying I dont need to come in. Well since I was almost done defrosting, I came in anyway for a bit to get caught up.

Leaving soon, just thought I dwaste some time since Im here and on the clock.

PennDOT did NOT do a very good job today. 309 and the Turnpike were a mess. Even major roads like Ridge Ave. were completely unplowed.

At least I came into work at 11 and will probably leave around 2.

Just got home, on the way home I got new wipers. Wow, it was great to be able to see. Funny thing, I was going about 40 and the sheet of ice on my hood flew up and slammed into the windshield. I was just like holy crap, that was cool. The guy behind me didnt think so though.

I think PennDOT didn't plow this morning due to the freezing rain, once it started snowing they went out. It's a lot easier to plow snow off of the roads vs. trying to get rid of black ice.

I've been a car when the hood flew up, driving blind.

Lol, they just passed a law about that. Cars must be completely clean of snow when on the road. It was on the news this morning, if your wipers are going your lights have to be on as well. Apparently pretty stiff fines as well.
