Lol, they just passed a law about that. Cars must be completely clean of snow when on the road. It was on the news this morning, if your wipers are going your lights have to be on as well. Apparently pretty stiff fines as well.
Really, I knew about the lights thing, but the snow? I never clean all the snow off. I dont even do all the windows. Just the windshield a little spot on the driver side window and enough to see out the rear.

I think the big thing with cleaning the snow off the car is the chunks or sheets of ice. When the sheet of ice falls off the roof of a car, truck, or semi it is very dangerous. Thousands of little bits of ice shrapnel, almost like concrete, can easily chip paint and crack windshields.

The law about cleaning off your vehichle comes from last winter when the women was killed by a piece of ice coming through her windshield, I believe it happened along rt. 22.

Wasn't that from kids throwing ice off a bridge onto the highway? Or am I confusing 2 different stories?

yea that was cuz a kid through an ice chunk off the bridge...stupid kids...but still it is a very dangerious situation if ice flies off a car at highway speeds...

i don't think this specific incident with the kids caused the law to be created but rather a few incidents happened that caused a general consensus to have it be created.
