Default Soft Top repair

So I can see a small bit of daylight from the inside of the car, so I was looking to get it repaired, but every place I call tells me they only do furniture. Anyone know a place or method to repair a very small slit in the soft top? Also about how much would it cost approx?

I have cuts of my old soft top available. I'll give you a small slab and you can use black silicon to stick under it. I have pics of my repair.

I have some pieces from my old top as well if you're in need. There's always the option of replacing as well, but that unfortunately comes at a higher price.

Cool, I would be down for a piece of old soft top and some silicon if that will do the trick. I can drive down with some beer or some take out to anyone who has a small piece of old soft top and whatever it takes to stick it on.

I had a small slit about that size on the bottom of the top, right to the right of the drivers door as it goes into the car when the top is up... took an hour or so and got heavy duty thread and a needle... handstitched it back together and put silicone over it... has held tight since I've had the top... which I believe is over a year.

Salmoon,

I'm in south philly (near university city. 2 min off 76) if you want to come down. I have some silicon and can do the repair if you want.

PM me if you're interested.

I have this issue on my passenger side, I did try to sew it, but the damn rip just keeps going...I'm hoping to get one more year out of it before I have to replace it.

Fix the top, and everytime you put the top down, hold and pull forward on teh bar that presses against the rip area, this will help keep the stress off of that area, which is the reason why it rips to begin with.

I too would be interested in a sliver of soft top, my rip is about 3 inches.

use some sticky felt on the area where the bend meets the top, this adds an extra layer, sticky felt is cheap and easy to replace.
