Default Spring Install Day

As lots of you know and have seen , a bunch of us (5) bought some Espelir springs. A lot of people offered to help install and/or show up to help/watch.

If anyone would like to host please let me know. I can host at my parents house but our driveway is slightly slanted so it isnt the best for jacking up cars. I would prob put 1 or 2 in the garage at a time so its on a level surface. Also, i have basically NO tools :'( so all who can provide will be greatly appreciated. I have the jack kit that came with the car and some socket wrenches/screw drivers, thats about all.

It seems Sundays are always best for the majority but since Sunday the 12th is Easter, I think the 11th (Saturday)would be better... (unless people wanna come over around 4 on Easter...) Probably around 2-3. If everyone gets their springs Friday somehow, we can always try for this Sunday if that would work better. We shall see. Im pretty flexible.

Im not sure how long it will take but i dont imagine it being ridiculous.
If we can fit in some other stuff, why not make it a small tech day
Post up if you have something other than springs and we'll try and make do.

If we have it at my house, since all the cars will be shuffling around my driveway you can park up in the culdesac or my street, but please let me know if you are coming so the #s arent higher than i expect and my neighbors begin to hate me more than they already do ( Invidia at 645am FTW!)

UPDATE, INSTALL AT MY HOUSE, 4pm...april 5th
I live in Kennett Square so mapquest it. ill pm details later.

Sunday would work or Sat, we need spring compressors, atleast thats what I used for my DIY before. You can rent them for free from advanced auto parts.

I have metric socket wrenches, and a hydrolic jack that I can bring along too.

I have a jack, jackstands, and tools I could bring...although the jack is a beast and I'd rather not try and fit that into the S

If its on a day I can make it, I'll bring my tool set (full set of sockets, hex wrenches, torque wrench) and the handy-dandy official S2000 service manual just in case. Seeing how I've done suspension on two S2k's already, I probably know the torque specs by heart anyway. (top mount bolts 36 or 37ft-lbs, shock->lower control arm bolts 46 or 47ft-lbs, front upper a-arm bolts ~78ft-lbs)

Notes for the installs in case I'm not there:

No screwing with ball joints or swaybar endlinks or anything. It's not needed.

Front:
I believe you can get away with working on one side at a time in the front and still easily get the shock out. If not, just do them both at the same time, no biggie. Anyway, unbolt the shock (2 top nuts, 1 bottom), ABS sensor wire bracket on the upper A-arm, brake line bracket on the shock, and the upper A-arm on the chassis side (2 bolts). Rotate the upper A-arm out of the way and remove shock. Swap the springs and reinstall.

Rear:
Dead simple. Just unbolt both of the shocks at once (it really helps to use a swivel + short extension for the driver's side upper shock nuts). Get an extra hand or two to push down on the rear suspension and remove the shock. Swap and reinstall.

Oh,
BIG IMPORTANT NOTE
BEFORE torquing down any suspension-related bolts for reinstallation, the suspension MUST be loaded. Use a jack underneath the lower control arm just inside of the castle nut and get the weight of the car on it, then you can torque everything down. The suspension must be holding the car up just like it's sitting on the ground.

Should be ridiculously easy and relatively quick with so many people there.
