Default Tuning by John Evans...

Has anyone gone to this guy for tuning? Someone told me about him... the kid owned a hatch and he said whenever you get a tune to go to this guy. Just wondering if it's worth it.

He charges $600 for dyno and street tune... no matter how long it takes... $600 is the set price.

Plus... is street tune really a must or is it good enough for the car to run normal with only a dyno tune?

I was really thinking about the EMS but I'm finding out that we lose the VSA and the Cruise Control by using the EMS. And it costs about $2000, which is a really pretty, shiney penny... lol.

I guess I'm going to wait sometime more to see what else comes out. Maybe someone will come up with something to keep the stock settings as far as the VSA and CC. I'm just wondering what software is needed to reflash the stock ECU and have a tuner just tune that. That would be absolutely amazing!!!! And I don't mean the Hondata "tune" where they guess the best tune should be. I mean tuning the car on a dyno and the street.

hondata has to be tuned like anyother system its not a plug and go kind of deal. your buying the rights to the program, it doesnt do anything unless you get it tuned on dyno/street
