pre tuned EMS?

Default pre tuned EMS?

Just ordered my turbo kit, says it comes with a pre-tuned ems, does that mean its good to go or does that mean its good to drive to the dyno and get tuned???
sorry im a noob when it comes to FI, just want to ask you guys first, the guy i talked to said it would be safe to drive right when you bolt it on but said it doesnt hurt to go get it tuned....i want to know for a fact...figured you guys would know!

It will be good to start up and run but thats it. I had a pretuned ems before and I can tell you that temp, elevation, your car etc will be different than any other guys tune. I would not mess around, just get the car to a tuner and have him dial it in for your car. You will be happier in the long run.

What kit did you buy? I honestly wouldnt trust any real pre-tuned unit since all cars are different, and even with the same mods they aren't going to run identical to each other. I still say go get it dyno tuned to be on the safe side, and to get the best power out of it.

All im fretting about is the hour n a half drive to the tuner? is it going to be safe to drive at all? i dont want to have to drive the car if i know its a huge risk..but if its ok to drive(like a grandpa) to the tuner id love to save the extra 2-300$ for towing

Drive like grandpa and keep it out of boost and you should be fine.
