i have my definition, but i'm just curious as to what other people think a ricer is?

 

Well, there are many different definitions for this term. But generally there are two common themes:
1) Someone who modifies their car to "seem" or "feel" like its faster, but in fact its not - body kits, lowering, decals, badges, exhaust tips etc are common modifications that make the car look faster but in fact do not contribute in that way.
2) Generally the modifications are done to a car of Oriental origin - it started out as a derogatory term - of a rice-eating nation from the far east. Mostly Japanese vehicles, but more recently it can be any car from an Oriental nation, such as Korea as well.

Yes, "ghetto mods" would do it..... but you cannot forget the derogatory connotation of "rice eating" nations - thats how the term originated.

I think a ricer is just someone that slaps all kinds of look at me look at me things all over their car. This includes loud fart cans on cars that can barely break 16's in the quarter.

I also believe the fast and the furious ricer is dying out woohoo but a new ricer is on its way they like to say cool things like JDM and install pink tow hooks on their car because its jdm yo. Ahh then we have the european ricers entering the scene as well I got an idea lets get my vw sand the hood so it rusts then lower it so it has no suspension and then stretch 205 tires over a 9.5" rim and run tons of camber vdubbin .
