Default Will full size wheel fit in trunk

I have been lucky with flats as I haven't had very many and they have always occurred close to home so I was able to get to my garage before the tire went completely flat. If a flat occurs on the highway and you have to use the doughnut spare until you get to a garage does the full size wheel fit in the trunk and then can you close the trunk. Never had this experience but I will be traveling a little more this year and wanted to be sure. Also, does the canned fix-a-flat stuff work on a high performance tire.

I know the trunk will hold a 16" OEM tire/wheel setup <I remember reading it in the manual, RTFM> I am not sure on the 17" setup though

That being said I keep my fingers crossed and my roadside assistance membership in good standing and drive without a spare

Fortunately yes Ray... The full size tire will fit in the trunk AND the trunk will close. I have done it!!!

You might have to remove those AMPS and that killer SubWoofer you have in the trunk though....

Yeah, you can fit 1 full size wheel/tire in the trunk if you remove the tool tray and place the wheel in the well standing upright. You can then also fit the other 3 stock wheels with tires in the passenger compartment with enough room to still drive the car with the top up. The dowside is that you cannot see out the passenger side window, and you will likely be right at or over the car's gross cargo capacity.

Ask me how I know...

Yeah, me too.....often during my semi-annual snow tire/summer tire swap

Luckily, the shop that does the swap is only about a mile from my house
