Okay, I have seen the movie. In my opinion, it is better than the first movie because it in no way attempts to grow a brain or have a plot. In that sense, this movie is a *PERFECT* popcorn movie ^__^ The races are no boring drags, either. They are actually twisting, road course style races and chases. There are crashes, scantily clad females and males, a weird scene with a bucket, rat and screaming policeman, and a lot (I stress a LOT) of action.

Popcorn rating: Worth seeing if you want to shut off your brain for a couple hours and just enjoy a movie

Drama rating: Some drama, probably not your bucket of bolts, but still has some drama

Action rating: Definitely go and see this movie. It's a fun romp with cars, girls, boys, guns, and computer effects ^_^

Edit: And the Pink S2000 a) sounds NOTHING like an S2000 b) only has about 6 minutes total screen time c) gets pretty banged up in a fairly cool sequence at the beginning of the movie and d) is beaten by a worthy car.... R34

I heard my car only got 2 seconds movie time.

 

The NSX has about 20 seconds worth and NO race scenes!

I went and watched it Saturday night and I must say it was no better than the first as far as the story goes, but the action sequences weren't that bad. I enjoyed the action more in this movie than the previous, there were plenty of hot chicks and the street race scene was way better in this one. Although I almost cried when they shot the Skyline with that huge shocking harpoon looking thing. I think they could have done without the old domestic cars though they didn't fit in the movie that well. But like LordVagabond said if you want to turn off your brain for about two hours this is the movie to go see.

 

The eclipse is such a pussy car. On the website they claimed it to be the stock 215 HP.... LAME!!!

 

I went to see it last night, and yes it's definitely a movie to turn off your brain for about 2 hrs. Make sure you do turn it off though to enjoy the movie, the computer graphics were much more noticable than the firts one. The story line is not that bad, I think it's better than the first one, well just look at the lenght of the movie compared to the 1st one. This one is much longer a FULL 2 HOURS! LOL Bottom line it's a movie and it will entertain you, just don't try to study it too much like I did otherwise you will not like the movie...
