Default Apollo 18

Why have we not returned to the moon again?

So, you by now have heard of this film, and you are curious. That it was shot in a documentary style not unlike Blaire Witch? That it is scarey. That it reveals an old conspiracy? That it can scratch that good scifi itch. That it can even be real footage, newly discovered!

Well, no spoilers here so far.

I cannot recommend this heap of junk. Sure it has creepy stuff, tries a couple of jump outta your socks type moments, you want to know what is going on so you watch more or it, hoping that it will redeem itself with another twist or gimmic....alas ....we now know why we did not go to the moon again! (sure).

A 3 outta 10 cause it is well cast, has decent effects....but it is a pile, I was uncomfortable in my seat due to on screen tension and boredome with the plot. Any film can create tension with what must be going on just out of camera range. Better it would have been a twilight zone or outter limits episode for the small screen.

I would not waste my time with Blair Witch, only saw previews to know it sucked, besides witch stories do not interest me. This film is shot in a simular MOCK documentary style with FOUND footage from 1971 or so. Lots of messy camera work, bad video, etc...

I do not recommend this as a film to see in theaters, your mileage may vary. On further contemplation :I do not recommend this film!

I saw Apollo 18 on Friday and I thought it sucked. I wouldn't watch it again if it came on TV. Not worth the the time.

spoilers

So to save misery I will reveal....nothing. We learn that the moon has living rocks and they attacked the crew and they have been brought home and distributed to dignataries,e tc...and that the Russan's made it there and never made it back and that the State Dept choose to let all mission fail due to the reports of contamination and everyone dies.

There a real spoilers reveal for those of you who want to know and know not to waste your time, I took a bullet for you on this one!
