ill be at the 15min preview tomorrow, allegedly the cgi will look 10x better in imax, i hope so, cuz so far, it looks great, but not mind boggling like they say it is.....
I don't know how I feel about it. The way Cameron was talking was like this was going to be the greatest thing of all time, but it looks like a special effects heavy Lord of the Rings meets Star Wars but in 3D. The blue people look cartoony.
I like a big budget special effects movie almost enough as the next guy, but if the script sucks.........well then maybe its all hype. Have to wait and see.

Cameron delivers.....I am confident that he is not going to release garbage after 14 years.
Cameron is not Lucas.
The Aliens look goofy IMHO because they have to appeal emotionally to us almost immediately. they have to emote some recognizable human qualities to ensure that happens quickly and effectively. Having a bunch of emaciated greys from the cover of communion or little green men would not draw us in as viewers.
Give this thing a chance....trust me on this

Cameron is known for his advancements in technology.. what people do not recognize is his story telling abilities. This is a far stretch even for cameron to deliver.. I believe curiosity will bring people in to watch this. When I saw the trailer online, I also thought that the creatures were too animated.. then I saw it on a smaller screen and was impressed. Later that day I saw it on IMAX and wow.. not a big fan of IMAX or 3D but this one I will need to see in that format.
