Batman Begins
The latest Batman movie is going to be done by Christopher Nolan of "Memento" fame.
Bruce Wayne/Batman will be played by Christian Bale (American Psycho, Equilibrium) and this movie looks like it's going to be hardcore.
The movie tells the origin of the Batman story and looks like it isn't as campy as the last few Batman movies directed by Tim Burton. I'm a big fan of Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale. Hopefully it's good...fingers crossed.

The new "Batmobile"; Looks like even Batman had to go the SUV route.

Due out Summer 2005

The main idea behind the design is "form follows function". The designers/directors wanted a utilitarian looking vehicle, especialy since its Batman's earlier years.
There is footage out there of this thing in action, and it handles/rides pretty damn

The reasoning behind the "tumbler" (thats what they call it in the movie) is that Bruce Wayne owns a plant that develops weapons/technology for the military. So he took one of these tumblers and made it into batmobile.

Unless the tires are made out of kryptonite.
I am looking forward to this movie... and Tim Burton's Batman versions were not campy!

If anyone has read Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns you would see a resemblance between the movie Batmobile and the one in the novel.
The only problem I have is that if they ever make Miller's opus into a movie, they will need to revamp the Batmobile yet again...
