reminds me of the game twisted metal

 

I saw this the other day on TopGear's site. Looks kinda neat

 

Wow looks good!

 

Cars? check. Hot girl? check. gun play? check. Jason Stathom? check. Explosions? Check.

I'm in.

 

^ I was just thinking the same thing. I just hate how movie trailers these days give up so many plot points, just to spark interest. And in turn, they give away all the twists and turns in the movie.

From the looks of it, they gave away a lot:

- NASCAR driver gets setup for murder and sent to prison.
- Warden of prison wants him to race for her in the "Death Race" she created.
- Turns out he was setup by the warden in the first place, so that he'd be sent to prison and then race for her.
- He finds about about the manipulation, so warden decides to kill him.
- Carnage ensues as he tries to escape/beat "the man".

All this just from the trailer.

BTW, Jason Statham is a kickass action star IMO.

 

WOW, the whole story outline was in that preview (warden setting him up so he could go to her jail and race for her and then trying to kill him off when he discovered her trickery). I realize you do not go to the movies to understand plot lines like this but still...

 

i just realized... reminds me of the longest yard. superstar goes to prison, has to play the game, gets blackmailed/sabotaged, wins
