It's amazing how movies nowadays strive to get that PG-13 rating so as to sell more tickets.

Rob Zombie is one of the few film-makers that stays true to the horror/terror genre. And does not give a shit about reaching out to a broader audience, but would much rather attract hardcore fans.

The Devil's Rejects was a great movie. From the cinematography to the music, everything flowed well.

Gone are the days of Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St., and Halloween. It's been replaced by these cookie cutter, predictable, sorry excuses for horror flicks.

When does SAW 2 come out again?

hmm.. I'm a christian too.. but I still enjoy movies for what they are.. and horror flicks. I don't expect to go into a Rob Zombie movie and see people praying and worshipping. I mean what did you expect??? I really wanna see this now to see what his ranting was all about

but this movie was not even a horror movie it was just a grotesque video filled with about every lust and sick desire a twisted individual could have in life.
I'm sold. Now I have to see it.

I disagree. His movies are nothing more than weak attempts at shock value. House of 1,000 Corpses was awful. The preview was great, made the film look as if it was going to be truly horrific, and then turned out to be yet another pathetic attempt at horror.

Horror movies are supposed to be truly scary. Their purpose is to make you sit on the edge of your seat, jump at the right moments, and cause you to look around the room while you're watching the film just to make sure everything is ok.

Rob Zombie's lame efforts are special effects bonanzas. Nothing more.

There hasn't been a true "horror movie" since the 70's. There's no imagination anymore. The producers rely too much on CGI and special effects and take your mind out of it. The closest thing you can get now to something that will make you experience fear is a Japanese flick; but, then you have to add in the trouble of reading subtitles which takes your complete attention away from what is going on.

whoever said rob zombie's movie was a horror flick was rediculous...
this movie didn't have one scarey or suspenseful thing about it.

just felt grossed out.

his music is decent, he should stick with that, and never again waste money on trying to put his crap into an hour and a half of video again.

i love scarey movies, they are absolutely my favorite, gore or not, whatever. twisted and weird all the way.

this movie fell short of anything remotely close to being decent or average and i'm pretty open minded movie wise.

all the way

Wow, from the thread-starters review it really makes me wanna see this now. That clown in the preview is really creepy looking. Damn I hate clowns. I don't know what you expected to see, but I do know the Rob Zombie is pretty f-ed up.

If you would have talked about how the bad the acting was or how there was weak cinematography, I might have persuaded me to skip it. I guess I'll just have to draw my own conclusion.
