Dolph Lundgren is an aquired taste as an actor. In 99.9999%of all his films he is the same guy, a loner, tough, ex military and or cop, in and or out of jail and given a choice he takes the jobs nobody wants ,never seems to have a reasonable choice, or is into retrobution big time.

For those who don't know Dolph, think Rocky fights the Russian, some strange crazy guy in the Expendables, or Arnold with a different accent and more swedish...in all his films he is the largest guy in the room, period.

This film is no exception. And like so many of his films it takes place in some unknown slavic country, maybe russia, doesn't matter. That means lots of action, ak-47's for everyone, he carries his beretta model 92f,cheap car crashes, lots of nameless faceless soldier and black op types get theirs...always in slomo... at least one knife fight plus allot of hand to hand...a pretty girl in the middle...he gets out scott free from it all(with the money)...this is essentially the plot of most of his films...yeah and some explosions abide.

I can give this a 1 outta 10, cause Dolph never looked better (2009 production release date) and he can act...like Dolph, nobody does Dolph better.

I saw the dude in The Expendables and he looks like he has been left out in the sun too long. He looks sort of like a half man-half aligator.

He should do one of the SyFy channel movies and call it "Dolph-agator" Although people would confuse it as being about a half dolphin-half gator so ..........maybe not.

i agree he should do a scifi movie (again)...my guess is that whatever he does he has to do it in some unknown slavic country for about $1500.00, that's the modus he follows in most films....he did look good in this film, but in expendables he was a mess, then again he does that crazy messed up killer thing well...

The action guy I like is the Rock. He looked like he was going to have a bright career with mindless action pics after a very solid show in The Rundown. But then he started doing Disney Movies like Escape to Witch Mountain and The Tooth Fairy.

Either he got a crap ton of money from Disney to sacrifice his career or has a really bad agent.

Totally agree. I thought he was going to be the next Arnold.

When I was younger I watched Red Scorpion quite a bit. Enjoyed it more than Rambo 3. Which was pretty much the same plot, theme and setting.
