not a documentary at all, more on the propaganda side...
a good documentary that's interesting is Control Room, about the Arab Al-Jazeera news network, that's much more balanced, academic...

Bush is a NOB and I hope he doesn't get re-elected. Michael Moore sure is doing his part to make sure the Democrats can win. I heard he even wants to release it just beofore Nov 11 on DVD as well!!!
Watched it last Thursday, loved it.. Mostly adults but there were some teenagers there too which was good to see that they have an interest in current affairs.. It was very cleverly put together and funny at some moments, I like how Moore takes the tension away with some funny parts inbetween.. The message was there though, call it propaganda if you will, it's a one-sided opinion, but it's an opinion that often gets overlooked in American media so it's good to see that both sides of the story are being told... Though it was mostly about Bush's ties with the Saudi's, my favourite part was the footage in Iraq, and how the soldiers are being recruited/responding to the war.. Looks like a decent portion don't want to be there (obviously), and don't know what they're fighting for.. Also, some of the immaturity in the soldiers (again, 18 year olds put in such a situation, I don't exactly blame them) was kind of disheartening.. I liked the interview with the mother who lost her son and the last letter he wrote to them.. I think that was my favourite part, very powerful.

You're kidding right? The only non-liberal news network out there is Fox News...and they are blatant right-wing. You can't take anything you see, read, or hear these days seriously which happens to be my biggest problem with this film.

Absolutely. I don't want to sound Rush-esque, but it seems as if the liberal media wants a regime change in this country and they will not stop until they see it done. The positive stories like the many findings of traces of banned chemicals recently get buried in the back of newspapers while irrelevant stories like the Abu Ghraib prison scandal get blown way out of proportion. They claim that the progress in Iraq is nonexistent when we are light years ahead of the transition from occupation to handover compared to Japan and Germany after WWII. They claim that the economy is bad when this year saw the the highest growth in GNP in 20 years! And how dare Kennedy babble out that subjecting some murdering insurgents to "torture" and "ridicule" half as bad as my own fraternity initiation is worse than the cold blooded mass murdering of over 3,000 innocent civilians? And he calls himself an American???Ahem... I digress.
Micahel Moore's opinion is not overlooked as Evo said. It is, distorted as it may be, the general opinion of the liberal media. It is worse than one-sided; it's full of incorrect and fabricated facts, especially the crap about Bush' ties with the Saudis. Click on the link that Matt posted above or in my earlier post further up.
I'm not even going to get into the soldiers being sent there against their own will.
Evo, even though I disagree with your opinion about the media, my hat's off to you for going to see it, having an opinion about it, and discussing it in public. More people should be paying attention to what's going on. Too many people are totally oblivious to politics, listen to some clueless rock star spewing out garbage about how there aren't any WMDs in Iraq (because they obviously know more than the CIA), then vote for a spineless (and dangerous) candidate like Kerry

Its nothing more than straight up 2 hour Bush bashing. Its sad how he exploits the death of one of our soldiers and his mother to prove his point... very sad. It just makes you realize that Bush has made some mistakes, hes human like all of us. But the good hes done outweighs the bad, which this film highlights and exaggerates.
Go watch it before you judge it.

Sadly this film's sole purpose is to sway voters against Bush in November. Bush isn't perfect, he makes mistakes like all of us. What's the alternative? Kerry? The pro-abortion Catholic, tax raising, self contradicting doube talking candiate who will take sides on an issue to raise his poll numbers? A man with no strong beliefs or convictions. Yea, he'll do so much better than Bush...
At least Kerry will not bring young service men and women from poorest parts of our contry into harms way unless he absolutely have to in order to protect our freedom and safety unlike Bush.
"President of US gets paid $400k a year through tax payers money from you and I. Saudi Royal family pays Carlyle Group $1.5billions over several years. Now, who is your daddy!?"
Iraq has 2nd largest untapped oil field in the world. Halliburton which ran by Dick Cheney, former CEO of Halliburton now vice president, received exclusive nobid contract to work on these oil fields as we speak. Halliburton workers are protected more so they can work on oil fields. Soldiers who risk their life to protect these oil workers from Texas gets paid $2000/month. Halliburton workers who are laying ground work for empire of oil built for Bush and is closest friends gets paid $8k - $10k/month.
You want me to go on? Bottom line is this. Is this president working for average Americans like you and I? or for something else? Well, regardless of my belief the film contains too much facts to simply discount it as some sleezy documentary.
I cried when the I watched these poor people dying in war for causes that they are now confused about. My heart went out to those have-nots living in places like Flinnt Michigan who sends their sons and daughters to Iraq just to losing them in this pointless war.
One thing for sure, it is not me or you who are worried about the Nov 2nd most. Now that truth has been shown about Bush's interest and their ties with biggest single investor of US interest, Saudi Royals, White House has a lot to worry about.

Is the President working for the average American? Look at his tax breaks... don't you see more money in your paycheck these past few years? Yea and you can thank your President for it too.
I suggest you read this...
