Comes out tommowro. I saw "bowling for columbine" and thought it was excelent. Moore has a superb knack for getting accross his point of view on subjects, as well as revealing information that very few know about. All while making you occasionally laugh.
If you havent seen "Bowling for columbine" rent it. Then get in your car and go to the theater to see this...

Its nothing more than straight up 2 hour Bush bashing. Its sad how he exploits the death of one of our soldiers and his mother to prove his point... very sad. It just makes you realize that Bush has made some mistakes, hes human like all of us. But the good hes done outweighs the bad, which this film highlights and exaggerates.
I think the ties between the Bush family and the Bin laden family and entire Saudi Royal family are extremely interesting.
There were numerous documentaries shown here in Canada that outlined these facts (including who Papa Bush was with at the precise moment 9/11 happened) that really leave you some big questions. These documentaries were never shown in the US of course.
I'm not saying anything good or bad about Bush as my opinion is my opinion. But the facts are interesting regardless.

Yea... I saw a pre-screening for it.
For me, nothing in the movie is really new information. I already knew about Bush's family ties to the Saudis and the scenes of death and torture in Iraq are nothing new. War is violent, war destroys and war kills. For some, these images will shock and surely make those are already hate Bush, hate him even more.
I think Moore's portrayal of Bush is very unfair and narrow minded. Take the scenes of that tragic day in September 11th, 2001... was Bush sitting dumbfounded when he heard the news in front of these kids or was he trying to remain calm as to not spread panic through the nation?
Sadly this film's sole purpose is to sway voters against Bush in November. Bush isn't perfect, he makes mistakes like all of us. What's the alternative? Kerry? The pro-abortion Catholic, tax raising, self contradicting doube talking candiate who will take sides on an issue to raise his poll numbers? A man with no strong beliefs or convictions. Yea, he'll do so much better than Bush...

And what might that be? The billions of dollars him and his daddy have made through the Carlyle Group with this war?
I just saw it, and I liked it.
One thing that bothers me about Moore (that I also like about him, I know a conundrum) Is that while the whole movie is his point of view, he never actually gives "his answer to the problem" He does this in Bowling for Columbine also.
He states a problem, shows a crapload of video about it and then ends the film. No solution given. I dont like this because I am educated and want to know his "answer" for myself. I state I am educated because it means I am smart enough to hear someone elses opinions and make my own anyway.
I also like that he doesn't show his "answer" because uneducated people (read: political lemmings) will take his view as the "end-all-answer" to the problems.
I think most people should view this film and figure out for themselves what really is going on.

F911 is not a documentary, as some people like to call it; it's propaganda. Just a bunch of distorted, innacurate and irrelevant facts bundled together to show Moore's slanted views (which are borderline socialist). Now that the movie has been out for a couple of weeks and most people have had time to see it and analize it, more and more innacuracies are surfacing. My favorite article dissecting it is Michael Isikoff's piece, More Distortions from Michael Moore
Interesting piece, especially considering the (liberal) source

i saw it on a monday night, audience full of "adults" and we all claped when it was over.
powerful, moving, emotional film with alot to say about our current leadeship.
Well done film all around. After seeing it I did not change my ideas about Bush, but I feel more enlightened on his ties to the oil business, about Cheney, and most of all about the man George is...if you look at all the personal appearances he has made...his speaches usually are just random sound bites...he ran three coporations into bankrupcy before becoming out cheif executive...the ties with the saudi's, his actions after 911...i mean as it was happening...what his dad is up to ....the propaganda that has been heaped upon us to increase our level of fear....for a long time now i have been thinking that the president has a little earpiece he listens to in press conferences so that he may make an intellegent reply to reall questions about important issues.
Let the president come out in public and deny or explain, I will listen.
This guy scares me, how he got the election scares me, what has happened to our way of life scares me and maybe most of all the elemination of our basic rights as citizens scares me.
Thankfully we can all vote the way in which we choose and share our opinions.
I have seen all of Moore's films, he has a mission, a social conscience, and has talent. I would like to see more from Moore. I am glad this thing will make it into video bofore the election.
