Went to see this movie last night. The previews looked very promising with the usual comedy from Jack Black, and the diversity from Mos Def. Be Kind Rewind did not deliver. Most of the comedy is shown in the previews, and several attempts are made at humor which were met with only a few chuckles from a full packed audience. Furthermore, there are several points during the movie where character development begins (possibly 1 romance as well), but nothing is continued leaving you with a feeling of "What the hell was the point of that then?". I did find the parodies of the re-made movies enjoyable.

Final verdict: Wait until you can rent the movie. Its a decent pick me up in that sense.

I kinda liked it. It was not as good as I expected though.

If you are a fan of the director Michel Gondry's work then you should go. You will like it. It's not his best, but there is enough good stuff to go for. (as one review I saw said, "Michel Gondry's failures are more interesting than most directors successes")

If you don't know who the f--- Michel Gondry is then maybe you won't like it.

It's a weird movie, but it's got a lot of heart. Maybe too much.

 

I didnt think it was wierd, i liked it alot, although i was expecting a little more. Not as good as Eternal Sunshine or Science of Sleep, more on the level of Human Nature, but still a sweet, fun little movie.

 

i liked part of it, then it got boring lucky for me i watched it for free from home
